About the author: Alena Ježková is an acclaimed Czech writer, publicist, and independent consultant in communication. Born and raised in Prague, she is a great storyteller, an author of more than 20 books and a laureate of 20+ literary awards. She predominantly focuses on Czech history, tales and legends. Her previous works include books for children and youngsters, such as Old Czech and Moravian Tales, The Lion Walks Through Prague, Dragon Soup; books on Czech history, such as Charles IV and His Prague, Silent Hearts I & II, as well as fiction, The Violinist's Hands. A keen promoter of reading, Alena is a patron of the Reading to Children project. For Prague City Tourism she creates delightful narratives, stories and legends for hand-illustrated maps featuring Prague's architecture, music, Jewish Town, literature, and many others.
