The Jewish cemetery in the Mahler Gardens is a place with a moving history, deep symbolism and immeasurable dignity. Take an educational tour accompanied by an expert from the Jewish community, who will not only introduce you to the beauty and symbolism of the Jewish tombstones dating back to the 17th century, but will also tell you about the fate of the important Jewish families buried there. Special attention will also be paid to the destructive interventions of the communist regime, the conversion of the cemetery into a park in the 1960s and the subsequent construction of a television transmitter, which left only the oldest part of the cemetery intact.

  • Meeting point: in front of the entrance to the Old Jewish Cemetery (Fibichova 2818/2a, Prague 3)
