Enjoy your coffee à la Prague! This delightful espresso cup and saucer feature Cubist-style geometric shapes and angular structures. Cubism emerged around 1910 in Paris but it was only in Prague where it had influenced applied art & architecture, besides fine art.

Our elegant porcelain set in white and beige is an authorised replica of the 1911 cup and saucer designed by Pavel Janák, the eminent architect, professor and theoretician. The 21st century refined motif of the décor was inspired by the iconic Prague street lamp from 1913 designed by the architect Emil Králíček. The world’s only still functioning Cubist lamppost is situated on Jungmannovo Sq. in Prague.

Our cup and saucer epitomise an exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design to elevate your coffee ritual or as an ideal personal gift.

The set was licensed for reproduction by Modernista and created exclusively for the City of Prague.
