Golem Comic Book

Join us for a travel back in time to the 1500s reign of the Emperor Rudolph II with our graphic book on Golem, the mysterious superhuman from an old Jewish tale. Legend has it that on a dark night, Rabbi Löw ben Bezulel of Prague created the giant of clay to protect Prague Jews in time of persecution. The legend is interwoven with Prague Jewish Town forever.

The comic book was created by an acclaimed Czech illustrator Štěpán Mareš exclusively for the City of Prague.

Štěpán Mareš is a prolific illustrator of books, graphic novels, strips, and freelance artist. An author of the legendary Green Raoul, political satire one page comic strips published in a Czech weekly for 28 years. He belongs to the prominent illustrator community.
