Podbaba, a picturesque area at the foot of Baba Hill, is located on the border of Prague's Dejvice and Bubenec. The area is bordered by the valley of the Šárecký Brook, the Vltava River and the southern part on the border of the two districts. In Podbaba we can find several historical homesteads, such as Břetislavka, Jaroslavka and Helmrovka. However, in recent decades, most of the houses along the Vltava have given way to modernisation and the construction of new roads.
