Klamovka Park

Klamovka Park is a quiet, relaxing place on the slope between Plzeňská and Podbělohorská Streets in Smíchov. There is a network of paths that are ideal for walking, jogging or cycling. The playground offers fun for the little ones and there is a garden restaurant in the middle of the park. The name Klamovka is derived from the noble family of Clam-Gallas, who built a Rococo mansion here in the 18th and early 19th centuries and transformed the garden into an English park with romantic structures and memorial statues. These historical monuments have been preserved in the park to this day. You can see a Neo-Gothic gazebo from 1820, the Temple of the Night, a Rococo greenhouse, a monument to the horse Cassel and the small Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from 1752.
