overview about the place From afar, the Huss congregation house of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church draws attention with its massive, prismatic tower topped with a four-sided chalice and cross. The church was built in 1930 based on a project by architect Karel Truksa in Modernist style with elements of Constructivism and Functionalism. The tower, over 30 metres high, was designed by an important representative of Czech Cubism, architect Pavel Janák, and is stylised in the form of a ship lantern as a symbolic beacon on the sea, a safe pointer to the ports of eternity. The Huss congregation house was designed as a multipurpose building. In addition to a theatre (Studio Mana), the building houses a columbarium, rental apartments and premises for a bank branch. more about the place Regular services of the Czechoslovak Hussite Church: 10:00 on Sundays and church holidays
