overview about the place This small white church near the Strašnická metro station, also known as Bethlehem Chapel, is a house of prayer of the Evangelical Methodist Church. The building, designed by architect Rudolf Sandholz, was completed in August 1924. The simple, single-nave chapel bears elements of late Cubism, rational Kotěra Modernism and Art Deco. Above the portal is an inscription with the Hebrew name Beth-el (House of God).
