Umělecká zahrada

In the Nusle Valley, within sight of the reinforced concrete Nusle Bridge and within earshot of the railway line, lies a garden full of art. A mysterious green oasis, preserved thanks to the passion and efforts of people who value cultural heritage. This artistic garden is full of sculptural works that combine with the natural surroundings to create a unique atmosphere. The restored garden has been evolving since 1989 on the site of a former sculpture studio and garden, founded by the Art Nouveau sculptor Karel Novák. In his Nusle studio, he chiefly created models of large figural designs and was one of the first to use a pantograph to make them, allowing the dimensions of sculptures to be transferred in enlarged or reduced scale. The place is worth a visit. You will be surprised by the pleasant environment with corners full of flowers and artistic artifacts.
