HILT black light theatre Prague

The motto of the HILT Black Light Theatre is: “You have to enter the darkness to see the light.” Winner of two awards at the 2018 World Theatre Olympics in India, the theatre welcomes you to its home stage in the centre of Prague in an underground stone-lined space with foundations dating back to the 15th century. Using a specific theatrical technique based on UV effects, darkness and special colours, the actors float, disappear and reappear on the stage. The company also works with shadow theatre, combining film projections with the shadows of live actors. The audience, seated at the same level as the performers, is completely drawn into the magic of darkness and lights.
