The Zemlinsky Quartet has announced the eighth edition of its popular concert series 4plus for the year 2025. The theme of this year's edition is FRIENDSHIP, reflected both in the programme of each concert and in the selection of guest artists. One of the Czech Republic’s leading string quartets, the Zemlinsky Quartet will launch its traditional cycle with exceptional violinist Daniel Matejča on Wednesday, 26 March 2025 at 7:30 PM in the Grand Hall of the Municipal Library in Prague.

programme

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart  — String Quartet in E-flat major K. 428
Eugen Ysaÿ — Capriccio on a Study in Waltz Rhythm by C. Saint-Saëns for violin and string quartet

Since its founding in 1994, it has earned numerous prestigious awards and regularly performs on major stages around the world. The 4plus series has been organised by the quartet since 2018, in cooperation with the Municipal Library of Prague.

Admission to the concert is 390 CZK (students and seniors 190 CZK).
Season tickets for all four concerts in the series are also available for 1190 CZK (discounted price 600 CZK). Tickets can be purchased at the box office of the Municipal Library, online at www.mlp.cz, or via the GoOut platform.
