The exhibition of the American artist David Lynch will present the artistic work of this icon of world cinema for the first time in the Czech Republic. The artwork of David Lynch has not been comprehensively exhibited in the Czech Republic until now. The exhibition project, which is being prepared in collaboration with the Paris-based studio Item éditions and his representative gallery Pace in Los Angeles, is conceived as a retrospective of Lynch's artistic output, with an emphasis on his most recent works from the last seven years. David Lynch’s expressive range of artistic work is very diverse, having worked in drawing, painting, photography, printmaking techniques, design, and animation over the course of nearly six decades. All these areas will also appear in the exhibition in representative collections, including experimental short films. The exhibition is not designed chronologically, but will follow specific formal or thematic connections that, among other things, characterise David Lynch’s work.
