Kostka Gallery — MeetFactory

The Kostka Gallery is focused on solo exhibitions and projects by artist pairs or groups. It is part of MeetFactory, a non-profit international centre for contemporary art. Kostka is separated from the main MeetFactory space and has a separate entrance. The gallery serves as a space for artistic experiments and site-specific installations directly responding to the unconventional typology of the site. It is intended especially for the emerging generation of artists, but also for established artists and independent projects of MeetFactory residents. Until 2019, MeetFactory offered half of the exhibition dates in this space to the art community at large through an open call; from 2020, it uses a more targeted method in the form of an "internal open call", which is based on a qualitative pre-selection by contemporary art professionals.
